Three major ‘akhadas’ of Vaishnav sect will enter 2025 Maha Kumbh on Wednesday
Preparations for the sacred event are underway, and on Wednesday the three leading ‘akharas’ of the Vaishnav sect will make their debut at the 2025 Maha Kumbh. Beginning on January 13, the Digambar, Nirvani, and Nirmohi akharas will participate in the sacred festivities at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, during the Kumbh.
Following the Mughal era, the three Akharas were established. Many Khalsa will also participate in the festivities. Along with camels, horses, elephants, and the sacred white and yellow flag, the procession bringing instruments will arrive. The state and municipal governments have put in place strict security measures for the procession’s arrival.
In charge of the procession is Jagadguru Rambhadracharya. Alongside him are the Mahants of the three Akharas.
“With this Maha Kumbh, I want to awaken Hindus. “Every opposition will be on our feet when the Hindus become conscious,” Rambhadracharya told media.
The famous seer responded to the allegations that Maha Kumbh was being hosted on Waqf property by saying, “They are lying; the whole Prayagraj is ours. This is their mischievous behavior.
In response to the suggestion for a Sanatan board, he said, “We will not allow any political interference…as I remain one of the top seers at Kumbh.”
Nand Gopal Gupta, the minister of Uttar Pradesh, promised that all the preparations needed for the big event had been finished. According to the minister, between 40 and 45 crore people are anticipated to attend the Mahakumbh event.
According to Gupta, Mahakumbh 2025 would be a huge success, just as the 2019 Kumbh was under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Former Prayagraj Mayor Abhilasha Gupta emphasized that the Mahakumbh festival would help spread the word about India’s oneness.Prayagraj is a Sanatani city and a Kumbh Nagri. The message that will be disseminated throughout this Maha Kumbh event is how to bring people together under one roof.Spreading the word about Lord Ram is our goal,” Abhilasha Gupta told media.
Under the direction of Deputy Inspector General of Police Vaibhav Krishna (IPS), Uttar Pradesh Police had earlier initiated a rigorous inspection campaign to guarantee the safe and orderly execution of Mahakumbh 2025.
The effort centered on increased monitoring of questionable people and activities at strategic sites such major junctions, pontoon bridges, and Sangam Ghat.
In order to pray that the sacred Kumbh festivities would continue to be divine, magnificent, and secure, Mahamandaleshwar Kaushalya Nand Giri of Kinnar Akhara conducted a fire ceremony (Havan).
“The Maha Kumbh will be magnificent. To ensure the safety of the people in Maha Kumbh, we did Havan in our Akhara. One of the ten Mahavidyas, Maa Baglamukhi, had a particular Havan in which mustard seeds were used to complete the religious rite. We asked Maa Baglamukhi to keep the Kumbh safe, magnificent, and heavenly.
“We prayed for their safe journey as the government worked to accommodate 40 crore people here,” Kaushalya Nand Giri remarked.
Over 45 crore devotees are anticipated for the celebration of the Mahakumbh, which is being held after a 12-year hiatus. Devotees will assemble at the Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers converge, during the Mahakumbh to take a sacred bath that is said to atone for sins and bring about moksha (freedom). On February 26, the Mahakumbh will come to an end.
On January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami), the Kumbh’s principal bathing ceremonies (Shahi Snan) will be held.
