These legends paid tribute to Raj Kapoor on his 100th birth anniversary

Stars like Dharmendra, Anil Kapoor, and Rekha paid passionate homage to Raj Kapoor, the greatest showman in Indian film, on his 100th birthday.

Dharmendra posted a black-and-white picture of himself with Raj Kapoor on Instagram. The two can be seen hugging tightly in the picture.

“To Raj Saheb, I hope you have a wonderful birthday. You are missed! As he recalled Raj Kapoor, Dharmendra stated, “You will always be remembered with great love and respect.”

In the movie “Mera Naam Joker,” Dharmendra collaborated with Raj Kapoor.

Anil Kapoor also gave Raj Kapoor a heartfelt homage. He discussed how he has been influenced by Raj Kapoor’s work.

“Raj Uncle’s birthday on December 14th has always been a memorable day. I always looked forward to this day. December 14th was remembered as a very memorable day of celebration for the whole Indian cinema industry, not just for myself and our family.I was much influenced by Raj Uncle’s work; his aura, talent, and vision were unparalleled both then and today.

I cherish the memories I have of him on his 100th birthday, including his classic movies, his time at RK Studios, his home, and the amazing legacy he left behind. To the ‘Greatest Showman,’ Raj Kapoor, happy 100th birthday. I shall always be amazed by your brilliance,” Anil remarked.

Rekha was present at the Raj Kapoor film festival’s opening ceremony in Mumbai on Friday. Rekha made a stunning and poignant presence at the ceremony. Seeing posters of Raj Kapoor’s movies made her a bit homesick as she walked the red carpet. She bent down and gazed sweetly at Raj Kapoor’s pictures.

In addition, Raj Kapoor’s granddaughters Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, daughter Rima Jain, daughters-in-law Babita and Neetu Kapoor, and grandson Ranbir Kapoor attended the occasion. Their attendance demonstrated the family’s shared delight in honoring and conserving Raj Kapoor’s remarkable legacy.

Raj Kapoor 100: Celebrating the Centenary of the Greatest Showman is being presented by R.K. Films, the Film Heritage Foundation, and the National Film Archive of India as part of the lavish commemoration.

Ten classic Raj Kapoor films will be shown in 40 locations and 135 theaters as part of this festival.Raj Kapoor’s most renowned films from almost forty years ago, including Aag (1948), Barsaat (1949), Awaara (1951), Shree 420 (1955), Jagte Raho (1956), Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai (1960), Sangam (1964), Mera Naam Joker (1970), Bobby (1973), and Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985), are the focus of the festival.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was asked to attend the celebration by the Kapoor clan members, who met with him in Delhi a few days ago.Kareena, Saif, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and other family members gathered in Delhi to talk about the festivities that were coming up.

The Kapoor family were ecstatic to see the Prime Minister, as shown by the adorable photos Kareena posted on social media following the encounter. Saif and Ranbir were also seen conversing with PM Modi in the photos.

The post’s high point, however, was when Kareena asked the PM for a signature for her boys, Taimur and Jeh. Fans on social media were thrilled when the prime minister kindly scrawled “Tim and Jeh” on a piece of paper.

Kareena thanked everyone for the intimate gathering in an emotional message. “The Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation to celebrate the remarkable life and legacy of our grandpa, the renowned Raj Kapoor, is a source of great humility and honor for us. I am grateful for this wonderful afternoon, Shri Modi ji. We were very grateful for your kindness, consideration, and assistance in commemorating this milestone,” she wrote.

The celebration began on December 13 and will continue until December 15.
