The Gaddi Nashin of Ajmer Sharif Dargah condemned the ongoing controversy over the Dargah
Ajmer: Syed Afsan Chishty, the Gaddi Nashin of the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, denounced the continuing issue surrounding the Dargah on Thursday, emphasizing that it should not have any impact whatsoever on the nation’s communal peace. This follows a Rajasthani court’s acceptance of a Hindu Sena petition asserting that the Ajmer Sharif Dargah is the shrine of Lord Shiva.
Khawaja Gharib Nawaz’s followers are dispersed around the globe and hail from many religions, not only Islam, Chishty said in an interview with the media on Thursday.
“I express my shock and disappointment that the court has granted a claim that lacks merit. Our country is vast and superior to all others. This should discourage anyone attempting to undermine India’s peace. Our nation’s social peace shouldn’t be impacted in any way.The disciples of Khawaja Gharib Nawaz are dispersed around the globe. His adherents come from many religions, not only Islam. Every year, even Prime Minister Narendra Modi sends a chadar on his Urs. He said that previous prime ministers had followed suit.
Chishty went on to call on the Center and Prime Minister Modi to get in on these issues and to investigate those implicated.
It is damaging to everyone’s faith to drag the Dargah into disputes. I vehemently detest this. I urge PM Narendra Modi and the Center to step in and control these issues. We believe that these petitioners are conspiring with India’s adversaries.”We should investigate these individuals,” Chishty said.
The Dargah’s Sajjada Nasheen, Syed Zainul Abidin Ali Khan, said earlier Thursday that anybody may submit a petition for “publicity” and “personal interest.” He brought up the Sambhal stone-pelting incident in Uttar Pradesh on November 24, which claimed four lives.
“Anybody is welcome to see the court. Additionally, the court will consider the petition. The proof will be presented together with the appropriate evidence. The final decision will then be rendered. Syed Zainul Abidin Ali Khan told a media report, “There is still a long way to go.
He said, “It is their personal interest,” when asked why the Dargah’s (shrine) are becoming the targets. Anyone can do anything to get attention. No one can be forbidden.
“What did (RSS chief) Mohan Bhagwat say in 2022?” the head of the Ajmer Dargah asked in reference to the recent statements to mosques throughout the nation. “How long will you search every mosque for a shivling?” Inside Samhal, the same was carried out. Five innocent persons died as a result of the situation. Two of the five deceased were the only providers for their families.
To what extent has this setback affected their families? “They [authorities] don’t regret it,” he said.
According to the plaintiff’s attorney, a municipal court in Ajmer ordered on Wednesday that notice be sent to three parties involved in a civil litigation alleging that the Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti’s dargah in Ajmer has a Shiva temple.
Reporters in Ajmer were informed by advocate Yogesh Siroja that the case was heard in Civil Judge Manmohan Chandel’s court.
“Notices have been sent to the relevant parties, which include the Ministry of Minority Affairs, the ASI, and the Dargah Committee. Although I am descended from Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty, I have not been invited to the celebration. “Our legal team is in contact with us,” he said.
