The Chhattisgarh forest department issued an advisory after a tiger was spotted in a residential area

Chhattisgarh: Following the discovery of a tiger in a residential area on Friday, the Chhattisgarh Forest Department issued a warning urging residents to stay away from the forest area and go back to their homes.

This is to let you know that a tiger that is now in Parasi (your village) was observed there. You are being told not to go to the forest. “Those who went to work and did farming should go back to their homes,” a police officer told the villagers.

The forest department cleared the area for the tiger within a minimum of four kilometers, according to Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) Forest Mohar Singh Markam. Villagers who lived within two kilometers of the tiger’s location were instructed not to go farming.

“Kanha Tiger Reserve is the origin of this tiger. This is the Marwahi range, which marks the MP-Chhattisgarh boundary. Parasi is where our tiger is. The tiger is now outside the woodland area. Within a three to four kilometer radius, we have cleared the path. Villagers within a two-kilometer radius have been instructed not to engage in farming. We have also contacted the specialists on tigers. There will now be constant observation. Mohar Singh Markam, the Forest Sub Divisional Officer (SDO), informed the media report.
