Thalapathy Vijay’s last film kicks off with grand Muhurat Puja, also stars Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde in lead roles
Ever since its announcement, Thalapathy Vijay’s eagerly anticipated film, dubbed Thalapathy 69, has been in the news. His followers were awaiting additional details about the movie with bated breath. The most recent rumors state that Thalapathy 69’s production has begun in Chennai today. According to a tweet on X (previously Twitter) by Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the actors and producers recently came together for a huge muhurat puja ritual.
H Vinoth is the director of Thalapathy 69, which also stars Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde in key parts. The project also involves Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Prakash Raj, and Mamitha Baiju. A few pictures from the muhurat pooja were shared by Taran Adarsh on his official X account.

“The film also features Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Prakash Raj, Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol, and Pooja Hegde,” Taran Adarsh said. Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi versions of Thalapathy69, which is directed by H Vinoth and produced by Venkat K Narayana [KVN Productions], will be released in October 2025. Anirudh provided the music. Jagadish Palanisamy and Lohith NK co-produced.
The actor’s last picture before he enters politics full-time is Thalapathy 69. Later this month, Thalapathy Vijay will host the first gathering of his Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam party, which he formally formed. Preparations are in motion for the same.
