Telangana CM Revanth Reddy presented a condolence motion on the demise of Dr. Manmohan Singh
In the state assembly on Monday, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy presented a resolution of condolence about the death of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, according to an official statement.
He said that the nation had suffered an irreversible loss with the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who remained silent and patient in the face of criticism.
“Manmohan Singh prioritized social and economic development for the nation. When it comes to political and economic matters, the former prime minister will be at the top. As a member of Parliament for the defense of democracy, he joined us in the Delhi demonstration. We shall never forget this incident for the rest of our life.
“Participating in the protest to protect democracy in Parliament is a testament to the former PM’s humility,” Reddy added.
The Telangana chief minister also mentioned the programs that were put in place while Manmohan Singh was prime minister. Manmohan Singh, the nation’s most renowned leader, gave the impoverished 100 days of labor and established the Employment Guarantee Scheme. He is a wonderful man who also introduced the Right to Information and Food Security Acts. To guarantee the advantage of the impoverished who lack land, the Land Acquisition Act of 2013 was also introduced.
“The Forest Rights Act of 2006 was introduced by former Prime Minister Manmohan. In keeping with Dr. Ambedkar’s inspiration, he introduced several legislation,” CM Reddy said.
He called his death ‘unfortunate,’ claiming that his liberal policies had altered the course of the nation.
The’soulmate’ of Telangana, he said, was Manmohan Singh.
“Manmohan Singh was Telangana’s soulmate in addition to serving as the nation’s prime minister and union finance minister. Since the previous prime minister brought Telangana statehood, the people of Telangana would always remember him,” he remarked.
“Manmohan has made significant contributions to the nation. We are proposing a resolution asking the center to honor Manmohan Singh for his national contribution by presenting him with the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor. The Telangana chief minister went on to say that all political parties had to support the resolution, regardless of their differences.
According to the announcement, he said that the government has chosen to erect a monument of Manmohan Singh in Hyderabad.
On December 26, Dr. Singh died in Delhi at the age of 92 from age-related medical complications.
