At the Secretariat on Friday night, the Chief Minister reviewed the R&B and Panchayati Raj divisions. Regarding rural roads, CM Revanth Reddy made a number of important remarks. In the past, the width of single-lane and double-lane highways has been determined by the movement of motorbikes, bicycles, and bullock carts.

These days, even in isolated settlements, automobiles, tractors, and other four-wheeled vehicles use the roadways. In order to accommodate the growing number of vehicles in the villages, the chief minister said at the meeting that the road’s size should be redesigned.

The Chief Minister underlined that roads had to be built so that cars may go freely and unhindered. Road work and the erection of panchayat school buildings are ignored, despite the fact that Tandas and Gudems have been promoted to panchayat status. According to CM Revanth Reddy’s directive, all panchayats in the state must have BT roads; no panchayat should be without one.

Additionally, the Chief Minister gave the authorities instructions to build a single road system connecting the villages and mandals as well as two highways connecting the mandals to the district office. As the CM noted that various techniques were used in the building standards of Panchayat Raj and R&B roads, repairs should also begin right away on potholed roads in rural regions.

The CM said that the only thing that matters to drivers is how they travel on the road, regardless of whether they are on Panchayat Raj or R&B roads. Roads under the two departments should be constructed with the same quality standards. Even for the settlements in the forested regions, the CM recommended that a road network be established.
