Telangana CM Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka meet Priyanka Gandhi Vadra

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met with Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday and congratulated her on winning the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election.

According to the most recent data, Congress candidate Priyanka Gandhi Vadra received 6,22,338 votes in Wayanad, leading by about 4,10,931 votes.

In her X post earlier on November 23, she thanked the people for their confidence and pledged to represent them in Parliament.

“My beloved Wayanad sisters and brothers, Your confidence in me has filled me with immense appreciation. Over time, I will ensure that you really believe that this win is your own, and that the person you have chosen to represent you is aware of your aspirations and fights for you as if you were their own. I’m excited to represent you in Parliament. On X, Priyanka made a post.

The congresswoman also expressed gratitude to her colleagues, leaders, staff, and volunteers for their tireless efforts throughout her election campaign. She also thanked her brother, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, her mother, Congresswoman Sonia Gandhi, her husband, Robert Vadra, and their children, Raihan and Miraya, for guiding and helping her.

Rahul Gandhi, a Congress politician and LoP, expressed his pleasure in Priyanka’s victory in the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-elections on X on the day of the results. He said, “My family in Wayanad has put their confidence in Priyanka. I have faith that she would guide with bravery, empathy, and steadfast commitment to turn our beloved Wayanad into a ray of development and prosperity.”

With major battles in Uttar Pradesh and Wayanad, Kerala, where Priyanka Gandhi made her political debut, the by-elections took place in 15 states, covering 48 assembly seats and two Lok Sabha seats.

A Rs 100 crore contribution from the Adani Group to the Young India Skills University was rejected by the Telangana government earlier on Monday, citing the need to preserve the state’s image and worries over previous scandals.

The decision was announced by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who said, “The Young India Skills University has received funding from several corporations. Similarly, the Adani Group contributed Rs 100 crores. On behalf of the government, we sent a letter to Adani yesterday expressing that the state government is not prepared to take the Rs 100 crores that the Adani Group has offered. I would want to restate the state government’s decision to reject the Rs 100 crores offered by the Adani Group.

“I don’t want to enter any controversy,” CM Reddy said, outlining the rationale behind the choice. In essence, I haven’t received any payment for this. Since millions of young people today lack skills and are unable to find work, the Telangana state government has taken action for the youth by establishing the Young India Skills University.

“For that purpose, we received a commitment of Rs 100 crore in principle from the Adani Group under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds,” the Congress leader said. Yet, as of right now, not a single rupee has been placed into the Telangana government’s account.
