Telangana: Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi visits MCEME in Secunderabad
Hyderabad: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Upendra Dwivedi, paid a visit to Secunderabad, Telangana’s Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), on Wednesday.

General Dwivedi received a briefing on the college’s training program during his visit, which seeks to produce technologically proficient troops who are capable and prepared for combat. In order to help students keep ahead of the curve in contemporary combat, the curriculum places a strong emphasis on new and developing technology.
On March 26, 2025, #GeneralUpendraDwivedi, #COAS, visited the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, #MCEME, according to a post on X from the Additional Directorate General of Public Information, Indian Army. He received an overview of the college’s comprehensive training program during his visit, which focuses on cutting-edge technology and practical experience to develop highly qualified, combat-ready tech warriors for the #IndianArmy”.

The tweet went on to say, “#COAS examined the state-of-the-art facilities, labs, and creative initiatives that foster independence and professionalism inside the Indian Army.” #COAS also interacted with troops & commended them for their high standards of professionalism & devotion to duty,” the post continues. He also praised the progress made by MCEME and commended their efforts to foster a professional outlook and work to keep the Indian Army future-ready in line with #ViksitBharat 2047.
The COAS also examined the college’s cutting-edge initiatives, facilities, and labs. He gave the institution credit for encouraging professionalism and independence in the Indian Army. General Dwivedi praised MCEME’s efforts to prepare the army for the future in accordance with the “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision.
Additionally, he engaged with the soldiers and expressed his admiration for their commitment to duty and high level of professionalism.
General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of Army Staff, had earlier seen the Madras Regimental Centre’s administrative and training facilities in Wellington.
“General Upendra Dwivedi, COAS, visited the Madras Regimental Centre, Wellington, today, where he reviewed the training and administrative facilities of the training center,” the Indian Army’s Additional Directorate General of Public Information said in a post on X.
The #COAS received a briefing on the Center’s state-of-the-art training facilities and methods. He praised every level for both their commitment to nation-building and their superior training.
“The #COAS also stressed the need for incorporating technology in training so as to prepare professionally competent soldiers who are able to adapt to the rapid technological advances and adept at handling the latest generation equipment, thus enhancing operational readiness in the #IndianArmy,” the Indian Army continued.
