Tehseen Poonawalla slams Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan for alleged remarks against Sanatan Dharma
New Delhi: Tehseen Poonawalla, a political analyst, has attacked Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for his purported anti-Sanatan Dharma statements. She claims that leftists are afflicted with a “mental disease” of Sanatan Dharma phobia.
“SDPI is a brand-new mental illness that is becoming more widespread in India. The PFI-SDPI is not this. According to Tehseen Poonawalla, this is “Sanatan Dharma Phobia India,” she told the media report.
“Most of the people who are affected by the SDPI (Sanatan Dharma Phobia India) are people with the leftist mindset,” he said.
According to Poonawalla, the Left has lost its significance in the nation and has been reduced to Kerala and the cafeteria at Jawaharlal Nehru University.
When Hamas speaks at rallies in Kerala, the chief minister discusses how Sanatana Dharma is incompatible with democracy. Does this make sense? For this reason, the Indian populace is tired of this leftist way of thinking. The Left is becoming less and less relevant. They are restricted to Kerala and the JNU canteen. Kerala will also be left, free from the left, very soon,” he said.
Speaking at the Sivagiri Pilgrimage earlier on Tuesday, Vijayan said that any effort to present the saint and social reformer Sree Narayana Guru as an advocate of Sanatana Dharma is only an example of caste-based Varnashrama Dharma.
Varnashrama Dharma, which is founded on the Chaturvarna system, is inseparable from or identical with Sanatana Dharma. What is upheld by this Varnashrama Dharma? It exalts inherited occupations. However, what was done by Sree Narayana Guru? He urged people to rebel against inherited professions. Therefore, how can a guru support Sanatana Dharma? The chief minister of Kerala said.
“Guru constantly questioned and disobeyed the Chaturvarna system via his austere existence. Given that Sanatana Dharma is based on the boundaries of a single faith, how can someone who said, “One Caste, One Religion, One God for humankind,” support it? The caste system was challenged by the dharma that the Guru promoted, Vijayan continued.
