MCC Agarwal told the media report, “A fire was reported here in the evening the day before yesterday, but it was put out. However, yesterday morning, another fire was detected here, and fire crews have been working here ever since. All of the major private enterprises’ fire departments have also been moved here. Water availability is also guaranteed. Here, several departments are collaborating. There is coordination throughout many departments.

Chief Fire Officer Basant Kumar Parikh said earlier in the day that battling fires is difficult due to the building’s high temperature. “There was a lot of stuff stored inside, so the temperature is rather high. Around eight in the morning yesterday, we received the first call. The integrity of the building’s construction is uncertain to us. We are attempting to put out the fire from the outside by utilizing a hydraulic platform. He informed ANI that about half of the establishments were on fire.

The whole area has been cordoned off as several teams attempt to manage the situation, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Bhagirath Gadhavi.

“Teams from the fire department are working to put out the fire at the Shiv Shakti textile market. The police have evacuated the whole area, and it has been closed off. Large-scale police deployments have also occurred. To guarantee that there is no traffic in the neighboring regions, work is being done. Here, every team is deployed.

The police are here to protect the other stores that are located here. DCP Gadhavi informed the media report, “All 800 stores in Shiv Shakti market are shuttered, and stores in the other markets have also been closed.
