South African star Tristan Stubbs celebrated like David Warner after dismissing Surya Kumar Yadav
After India National Cricket Team captain Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed on Sunday, November 10, South Africa National Cricket Team star Tristan Stubbs staged a David Warner-style celebration.
In the second Twenty20 International of the four-match series at St George’s Park in Gqeberha, bowler Andile Simelane thrilled Tristan Stubbs by dismissing Suryakumar Yadav with a superb yorker.
Tristan Stubbs erupts in loud celebration as Andile Simelane dispatches Suryakumar Yadav.
When facing the Proteas in the second Twenty20 International, Suryakumar Yadav struggled to score runs with the bat. He was unable to get going on a hard fastball, much like other hitters.
India was suffering at 15/3 after Suryakumar Yadav was removed on the last delivery of the fourth over after scoring only four runs off nine balls throughout the contest.
Simelane famously delivered Suryakumar Yadav a brilliant yorker, and the Indian captain moved over early to play his stroke. But the ball struck the back shoe, and he was defeated. At first glance, it seemed plumb, but the Indian captain opted against seeking a review after talking with Tilak Varma and making his way back to the hut.
Tristan Stubbs was seen on TV celebrating like David Warner when the on-field umpire raised his finger. Interestingly, he leapt with joy and punched the air, adopting David Warner’s signature jumping celebration.

Gerald Coetzee, his batting partner, was also praised by Tristan Stubbs for his rapid run-scoring and boundary-hitting. Because some of his people came to observe, the South African hitter also said that he was really anxious while hitting. It was his mother’s birthday, after all. He clarified:
“We never lost sight of the run pace. We crossed the finish line when Coetzee entered the game and played the last innings. “We can win this,” Coetzee declared as he entered.Back to run-a-ball was always two hits away. All I did was try to breathe. Twenty to thirty people came to attend the game since it was my mom’s birthday. My favorite spot to play cricket is here. I was attempting to regulate my breathing since I felt anxious.
I’m thrilled to have taken a significant wicket. – Andile Simelane
When his captain, Aiden Markram, gave him the ball in the fourth over during the mid-innings break, 21-year-old Andile Simelane said that he was prepared with his plans. He stated:
“I considered our alternatives and the lengths we wanted to bowl when Aiden informed me that I would be bowling the fourth over. We were going to Sky. We carried out our ideas, and I’m pleased. I was able to back my slower balls as instructed by the instructors.
Andile Simelane said that he was thrilled to have taken out former World No. 1 batsman Suryakumar Yadav, calling it an experience that will never be forgotten. He stated:
“I’m thrilled to have taken Suryakumar’s wicket; it’s a memorable moment that I will never forget. They assured me not to worry, and it’s a pleasure dealing with them. They inspired me, and I was able to maintain my composure.”
