Six people lost their lives after tragic stampede in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh

Tirupati: An eyewitness provided details about the incident following the tragic stampede in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, which claimed six lives. The witness explained that the stampede happened because of the overwhelming number of pilgrims when the police opened the gates for the distribution of tokens and that there was no such system in place earlier.

Six of her family’s twenty members, she said, had been hurt. Many women were injured as a result of the male pilgrims’ rush for tokens, she said, and they were sent to the hospital.

“A stampede happened because of the heavy rush,” she told the journalists. The pilgrims hurried to buy tokens as soon as the police officers opened the entrance. Previously, there was no such method for acquiring tokens. Six of my family’s twenty members have been hurt. At eleven o’clock, we entered the line. We were given milk and crackers as we waited in line. Many women were hurt as a result of the male pilgrims’ hasty pursuit of symbols, and many were sent to the hospital.

One of the victims, Mallika’s husband, gave his heartbreaking story, saying that his wife died in the rush that happened as she and other people were trying to get tickets for Vaikunta Dwara Darshan.

He claimed, “My wife was killed in a rush that happened when she and other people were attempting to get tickets for Vaikunta Dwara Darshan. Our relatives have been notified, and they are en route.

According to authorities from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), a stampede that started Wednesday evening at Vishnu Nivasam in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati left up to six persons dead and several more wounded.

When ‘darshan’ tokens were being distributed at Vishnu Niwasam, near the Tirumala Srivari Vaikuntha Dwara ticketing booth, an event happened.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is keeping a close eye on the situation and is scheduled to meet with the relatives of the stampede victims on Thursday morning, according to a statement released by TTD Chairman BR Naidu’s office.

Six pilgrims lost their lives, which is a regrettable occurrence, according to the statement. The other pilgrims have not yet been recognized, and just one pilgrim has been identified so far. In a teleconference, N. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu voiced his displeasure with the authorities’ handling of the situation and said that he takes the event very seriously. At 11:45 a.m. tomorrow, the Chief Minister will pay a visit to the relatives of the dead. CM is keeping a careful eye on developments regarding the matter and has issued a warning that similar instances should not be repeated.
