Six people injured after the roof of a house collapsed in Delhi’s Narela industrial area
New Delhi: According to police on Sunday, a family’s roof collapsed in the Narela Industrial Area of Outer North Delhi, injuring six people, including three daughters.
According to the authorities, there was no cylinder burst and the wounded people were burned and injured while preparing meals when the ceiling fell, causing a fire.
“After talking to the neighbors, it was discovered that the family was cooking when the roof fell, resulting in both burn and impact injuries. So far, there has been no cylinder burst, Delhi Police said.
They said that in relation to the roof fall, a PCR call was placed, reporting a cylinder burst at Shani Bazar that was within the jurisdiction of the Narela Industrial Area Police Station.
According to authorities, the roof collapsed from the second level, affecting the whole structure, and the fire department was notified of the incident at about 7:53 AM. Fire engines then raced to the scene to put out the fire.
The wounded family members were taken to the hospital by the police in a hurry. Raju (40), his wife Rajeshwari (35), their son Rahul (18), and their three daughters Mohini (12), Varsha (5), and Mahi (3) have been recognized as the family members.
Earlier on Sunday, two stores in Shahdara, Delhi, caught fire.
The event occurred near the Gandhinagar police station in the Shahdara district.
The fire was put out by four or five firefighters.
No casualty reports have been received.
