“I express my gratitude to the Maharashtra voters for carrying out their mandate. Mahayuti will win this election with a huge majority, according to Deora.

Aaditya Thackeray of the Shiv Sena (UBT) and Mahayuti candidate Milind Deora engaged in a high-profile fight in the Worli seat.

With the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) also putting up a good performance in assembly elections, the governing Mahayuti is expected to hold onto power in Maharashtra, according to exit polls released on Wednesday after the end of voting on 288 seats in the state.

The Mahayuti coalition may get 137–157 seats, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi may secure 126–147 seats and the remaining 2–8 seats, according to the Republic TV–PMARQ exit poll.

In contrast to the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi, which consists of the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP), Mahayuti comprises the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP.

According to the Matrize exit poll, the Mahayuti coalition was expected to win 150–170 seats, while Maha Vikas Aghadi was predicted to win 110–130 seats. Others may receive eight or ten seats, it claimed.

According to Chanakya Strategies, Mahayuti is expected to win 152-150 seats, MVA 130-138 seats, and 6-8 seats.
Mahayuti was predicted by “Peoples Pulse” to win by a landslide, garnering 175-195 seats. It said that ‘others’ will gain 7–12 seats, while Maha Vikas Aghadi is expected to get 85–112 seats.

The Republic TV-PMARQ projection range indicated that even MVA might surpass the majority threshold of 145 in the Maharashtra legislature.

Maharashtra received 58.22% of the vote till Wednesday at 5 p.m.
In the elections, Mahayuti and MVA fought each other fiercely. Following the NCP and Shiv Sena divisions, it was the state’s first assembly election.

The BJP won 105 seats, the Shiv Sena 56, and the Congress 44 in the 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections. The Congress secured 42 seats, the Shiv Sena 63, and the BJP 122 in 2014.
