Shashi Tharoor expressed concern over the situation in Bangladesh and said this
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor voiced worry about the situation in the neighboring nation after the arrest of spiritual leader Chinmoy Krishna Das amid the current tensions between India and Bangladesh.
Additionally, he said that on December 11, the External Affairs Committee convened a meeting to discuss the situation in Bangladesh. MP Shashi Tharoor is now in charge of the committee.
“…it would be beneficial if (External Affairs Minister) S Jaishankar came to Parliament and informed us of any statements the government has made on behalf of the Foreign Ministry. To learn more about Bangladesh, we have scheduled a meeting of the External Affairs Committee on December 11. Whatever is happening in Bangladesh worries us…”Every minority in their nation should have democratic rights,” he said.
“But it would not be appropriate to talk too much as this matter does not concern our country,” said Shashi Tharoor.
Many people are incensed over Chinmoy Krishna Das’s detention and are demanding that he be released right now.
