Shah Rukh Khan praises PM Narendra Modi’s vision and supports WAVES 2025 summit
In support of the forthcoming World Audio Visual Entertainment (WAVES) 2025 conference, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plans for the media and entertainment industry on Monday.

“I am very excited for WAVES, a global conference on cinema and entertainment, to take place in our own nation. An event that honors our sector, recognizes its contribution to the Indian economy, and highlights its potency as a soft power… and most importantly, an event that promotes and encourages innovation,” SRK said.
With a focus on establishing India as a worldwide center for content production, Prime Minister Modi announced the opening of the World Audio Visual Entertainment (WAVES) Summit on Sunday.
“The World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit, or WAVES, will be held in our nation for the first time next year. Giants from the entertainment and media sectors as well as individuals from the creative community will visit India for the WAVES conference. This conference is a significant step in establishing India as a worldwide center for content production. During his speech at the 117th edition of “Mann Ki Baat,” Prime Minister Modi remarked, “I am pleased to inform you that young creators are also taking part in this summit.”
Actor Akshay Kumar has already commended PM Modi for initiating the Waves meeting.
“This is PM @narendramodi ji’s vision towards promoting the Media & Entertainment sector,” Akshay Kumar posted on Sunday. What a fantastic concept. It is hoped that the Waves 2025 summit would be an amazing worldwide platform for the entertainment sector to come together and develop together.
Sanjay Dutt also wrote: “India is setting the standard for innovation and entertaining! Kudos to PM @narendramodi ji for this inspiring project. WAVES 2025 will be an excellent forum for international cooperation. I’m excited to see how the media and entertainment industries are changing.
“Spotlight on India’s content industry & its vast potential” would be highlighted at the WAVES Summit 2025, according to Prasoon Joshi, lyricist-writer and head of CBFC.
From February 5 to February 9, India will host the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit for the first time.
