Four people were killed and several others, including authorities and residents, were wounded in the November 24 stones-throwing episode that became violent over the survey team.

According to Sambhal SP Krishan Kumar, the internet ban will remain in place in the area even though all other restrictions have been removed and things are again back to normal.

According to the police, seven FIRs have been filed in relation to the violence, and 27 people—25 men and 2 women—have been detained so far.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Krishan Kumar told ANI that the police had ordered a precautionary internet blackout after the Sunday incident in Sambhal district and that the closure is still in effect. Every other aspect has returned to normal.

“All of the CCTV video of the individuals engaged in the event has been analyzed by the police. Over 100 individuals have been recognized. The cops are going to catch them shortly. There have been 27 arrests in the last 24 hours, including two women and 25 males. On November 23, Zia-ur-Rehman Barq, the MP for Sambhal, received a notification under Section 168 of the BNS,” he said.

Security forces have been deployed in the vicinity, according to recent images from the scene.

In order to ensure security in accordance with local legislation, the security team around the mosque is equipped with two-way radios for communication, security batons, spotlights, weapons, vehicle barriers, and metal detectors.

Following the chaos and stone-throwing incident over an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) survey of the district’s Mughal-era mosque, Moradabad Divisional Commissioner Aunjaneya Kumar Singh announced earlier on Tuesday that seven formal complaints had been filed and that 27 people had been arrested in the Sambhal violence.

Singh called on individuals from all walks of life to abstain from making unfounded claims.

A Samajwadi Party (SP) MP and the son of a local MLA are among the culprits in the Sambhal incident, Singh had earlier revealed on Monday. He also gave his word that an inquiry is being conducted and that the violent scene is now tranquil.

Earlier, Sambhal SP Krishna Kumar Bishnoi told a joint news conference that up to 800 persons had been the subject of a complaint after the incident.

Additionally, SP Bishnoi said that two defendants, Zia Ur Rehman Barq and Sohail Iqbal, had been taken into custody for allegedly inciting the crowd to commit violence.

Zia Ur Rehman Barq, an MP for the Samajwadi Party (SP), has refuted claims that the mosque survey had incited violence in Sambhal.

Since he was out of the state when the violence broke out, he has refuted the accusations and accused the Uttar Pradesh police administration of “conspiracy.” He also maintains that the case against him was unfounded.

The aforementioned assessment was conducted as part of a court case after prominent counsel Vishnu Shanker Jain filed a petition arguing that the mosque was formerly a temple.

Members of the mosque’s management committee and local police were there to supervise a similar assessment that was previously carried out on November 19.
