Security beefed up ahead of Delhi march announced by farmers today
Haryana: Ahead of the Delhi March, which farmers announced today, security measures have been tightened. The farmers will depart from the Shambhu Border for Delhi at 1 pm; hence, the police have blocked the Ambala-Delhi border.
“The indefinite hunger strike at the Khanauri border has reached its eleventh day, while the march has entered its 297th day. A ‘jatha’ consisting of 101 farmers will depart from the Shambhu Border for Delhi at 1 pm. Sarwan Singh Pandher, a farmer leader, told the media.
According to police authorities on Thursday, up to 34 farmers were arrested for staging a demonstration without authorization while traveling from Zero Point to Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal in Noida.

To address and resolve the continuing farmers’ protest in the Noida and Greater Noida areas, the Uttar Pradesh government established a five-member committee on Wednesday.
An official statement states that IAS Anil Kumar Sagar, the Principal Secretary of Infrastructure and Industrial Development in Uttar Pradesh, would serve as the committee’s head.
Five people will make up the committee, indicating a small but dedicated group with the know-how to manage the issue effectively.
Anil Kumar Sagar, Piyush Verma, Sanjay Khatri, Somya Srivastava, and Kapil Singh are among the members.Within a month, the committee is supposed to provide its findings and suggestions to the administration.
This action demonstrates the government’s dedication to resolving farmers’ issues in a methodical and organized manner.
Protesting farmers who are calling for benefits and compensation, including a legal guarantee for the Minimum Support Price (MSP), were also taken into custody by Uttar Pradesh police earlier on December 3.
