Saira Banu remembered Dilip Kumar on his 102nd birth anniversary, said this

Bollywood’s renowned “Tragedy King,” Dilip Kumar, was celebrated on his 102nd birthday with a poignant tribute from his cherished wife, veteran actress Saira Banu, who recalled their wonderful times together.

Saira cherished the more straightforward, easygoing side of Dilip Kumar that he kept for their private times, even though the public knew him for his extravagant character and unparalleled acting abilities.

Saira posted an emotional video montage of her cherished moments with her late spouse on social media.
Although Dilip Kumar, who died in 2021 at the age of 98, had made a lasting impression on Indian film, Saira saw him as much more than just a legend.

Saira considered how Dilip Kumar’s presence changed her life in her Instagram post. “Some individuals enter your life and remain there, becoming an integral part of you in every way. Dilip Sahib came into my life to be with me forever, and that is what occurred. She stated, “We are one in our thoughts and being,” expressing how deeply they were connected.

Saira went on to say that Dilip Kumar would lose his iconic aura whenever they were together, even though he was a renowned figure. “To the world, he was the epitome of mannerisms, poise, chivalry, and a presence that could silence a room,” she said.

However, when he was in my presence, he changed completely. “The child within him emerged playful, carefree, and unburdened by the weight of worldly chaos,” she said, “and he shed the aura of a legend.”

Saira related a unique story about how impulsive the actor was. “I can state with certainty that Sahib was never able to sit still. He was an avid traveler. He would urge us to go with him to stunning locations whenever he had days off from filming. On these outings, my brother Sultan’s kids, other family members, and I would often accompany him, making some of our most treasured memories together,” she said.

She continued by sharing a memorable tale from their lives. “I had just gone to the airport to bid him farewell. Dilip Sahib surprised me when I told him that my shoot had been canceled. Before I knew it, I was accompanying him to a lavish wedding after he had his secretary get me a ticket. I was unprepared and wearing a basic cotton salwar kameez, but Dilip Sahib’s simplicity made it easy for him to immerse me in his world.”

Saira also expressed her laughter at Dilip Kumar’s kindness, saying, “Even though I’m very careful, I would go out of my way to make his birthdays extra memorable. Nevertheless, he would freely offer the presents—premium watches, cufflinks, and sweaters—to anybody who showed interest in them. I quickly came to understand that he was so content with himself that he didn’t really care about material belongings. All that mattered to him was his family, his work, and the love he gave and received.

In her homage, Saira discussed Dilip Kumar’s capacity to resist material cravings, a quality she saw in him as well as in many other greats of Indian film.

“Dilip Sahib embodied this rare quality, a man so enriched by the intangible, so unaffected by worldly possessions,” she said.
Saira concluded her homage by expressing her admiration and affection for the guy who created the tale. To me, he was just the guy who elevated the commonplace to the spectacular, despite the fact that the world may honor him as its Kohinoor. “Yousuf Jaan, happy birthday!”

The on- and off-screen relationship between Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu is legendary. Fans still treasure movies like “Gopi,” “Bairaag,” “Sagina Mahato,” and “Duniya.”
