According to claims that appeared in a number of media sites, Pallavi had vowed to follow a strict vegetarian diet till the film’s production was over. She even brought her personal chef with her when she traveled overseas to make sure her meals were only vegetarian.

Pallavi responded to these untrue allegations on Wednesday by strongly denouncing the fake news on X (previously Twitter).

“Whether with or without ulterior intentions (God knows), I nearly always prefer to remain quiet when I see false assertions, contrived falsehoods, and unfounded rumors being circulated. However, it’s time for me to respond since it continues occurring and doesn’t seem to stop, particularly when my movies are coming out, when I make announcements, or when I’m celebrating key events in my career,” she stated in the article.

“Any further circulation of such misleading stories would not go unchallenged,” the actress said, expressing her disgust with the media reports. “I will legally report any’reputed’ page, media outlet, or person who publishes a fabricated tale under the guise of news or gossip the next time I see it! “Period!” she continued.

The ambitious two-part rendition of the ancient Indian epic, “Ramayana,” has already attracted a lot of interest because of its high-profile production crew and star-studded ensemble.
Pallavi is said to be playing Sita, while Ranbir Kapoor has been confirmed to portray Lord Ram. According to reports, Yash has also been cast as Ravana, which promises to be an exciting rendition of one of the most well-known legendary characters.

Namit Malhotra, who has produced Hollywood blockbusters including “Dune” and “Inception,” is producing the movie.

On X, Malhotra spoke about his enthusiasm for the project and his long-held goal of making the epic a reality on the big screen.

“I started a noble mission more than ten years ago to bring this epic, which has captivated people’s hearts for more than 5000 years, on the big screen. And I’m excited to see it blossoming today as our teams put forth endless effort with the sole goal of presenting the most true, revered, and aesthetically beautiful rendition of our history, truth, and culture,” he added.

With the first portion scheduled for Diwali 2026 and the second for Diwali 2027, the movie will be released in two installments.
