Reliance Foundation announces the results of its prestigious Undergraduate Scholarship for 2024-25
The results of the Reliance Foundation’s esteemed undergraduate scholarships for the 2024–25 cohort were revealed in an official statement on the 92nd anniversary of the birth of Reliance’s founder and chairman, Dhirubhai Ambani.
Five thousand gifted undergraduate students from all around India have been chosen, continuing the tradition of fostering brilliance and enabling future leaders. The Reliance Foundation’s dedication to developing young talent and giving them the tools they need to influence India’s future is shown by this initiative.
The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships were sought for by about 100,000 first-year undergraduate students from all Indian States and Union Territories, representing a wide range of backgrounds. The students, who come from a variety of backgrounds and academic fields throughout India, were chosen based on their Class XII grades, an aptitude test, and economic considerations. According to the statement, they will get mentoring, cash awards of Rs. 2 lakh, and possibilities for holistic growth.
Approximately 70% of the students chosen this year came from families earning less than Rs. 2.50 lakh per year. In Class XII, 83% of the pupils received scores higher than 90%. There are 147 pupils with impairments among the chosen. Selected students are enrolled in 1300 institutions nationwide and come from 540 districts.
The scholarships allow the talented students to concentrate on their studies without worrying about money since they cover tuition, living expenses, and other educational expenditures.
They also provide professional growth, mentorship, and all-encompassing assistance. In order to improve their technical and soft abilities, scholars may also take use of training programs, seminars, and workshops.
Reliance Foundation Founder and Chairperson Mrs. Nita Ambani announced the Reliance Foundation’s additional promise of 50,000 scholarships over 10 years, making it India’s biggest private scholarship, in December 2022, on the 90th anniversary of the birth of Reliance’s founder and chairman, Shri Dhirubhai Ambani. Since then, scholarships have been given to 5,100 students annually, including 5000 undergraduates and 100 postgraduates.
“It is an honor for us to acknowledge and assist these brilliant young brains. Our goal with the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships is to enable individuals to realize their greatest potential and contribute significantly to India’s development. Nearly one lakh applications were received in response to the application call, and after a competitive procedure, the 5000 chosen students were determined.
“We are honored to be a part of these students’ transformative journeys, as education is the key to unlocking opportunities,” a Reliance Foundation spokeswoman stated.
Through voluntary work and humanitarian projects, the Reliance Foundation enables students to grow as leaders and have a positive impact on society. Some Reliance Foundation students have realized their research potential and intend to use their contributions to help put India on the international map, while other scholars have found employment in reputable firms throughout the globe. From early childhood to high-quality higher education, education is central to the Reliance Foundation’s mission.
According to the announcement, more than 28,000 young people in India have benefited from the Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarships, which were introduced in 1996, and the Reliance Foundation Scholarships, which were introduced in 2020. These scholarships have allowed them to pursue further education, advance to leadership roles, and advance their professional development.
