Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said that Rahul Gandhi has said the right thing
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said Friday that Rahul Gandhi had done the right thing after Congress MP Rahul Gandhi demanded Gautam Adani’s arrest and stated that it was “clear” and “established” that Adani Group had violated Indian and American laws in the wake of the alleged bribery charges the United States had brought against him.
“Rahul Gandhi has stated correctly that Adani should be arrested,” Yadav told Media. Adani need to be taken into custody.
On November 21, opposition parties slammed the Modi administration and demanded a JPC investigation into the alleged bribery charges against the Adani group firm.
The BJP criticized Congressman Rahul Gandhi for criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led administration, saying that the legislation would work itself out.
Mallikarjun Kharge, the leader of the Congress, called for a thorough Joint Parliament Committee (JPC) probe into the issue, including the Adani Group’s overseas assets.
“It damages our reputation internationally when a prominent Indian businessman gets charged by a foreign nation. By carrying out the Modi government’s policy of establishing monopolies in important industries and consolidating wealth in the hands of a select few through excessive favors, the Indian National Congress has been vocally opposing unethical business practices that enrich and advance particular individuals,” the Congress chief wrote on X.
According to Kharge, the whole nefarious network comprising corrupted officials and certain politicians who are cronies must be “investigated and dismantled.”
“This nexus severely hurts our people – poor and middle class, aspiring entrepreneurs, MSMEs, Startups and crores of small and medium retail investors, for it widens inequalities by snatching savings and opportunities,” Kharge said.
Additionally, he made fun of PM Modi’s phrase “Ek Hain, Toh Safe Hain” and his claim that “One Monopoly to protect the looted SAFE!”
The necessity of the hour, according to Kharge, is for a “comprehensive JPC” that looks at all facets of the Adani Group’s operations, including the intentional institutional decay of the SEBI, SECI, and government agencies, as well as the Adani Group’s international transactions.
“As Shri Rahul Gandhi points out, Mr. Adani should be the first subject of this inquiry. Only then will our nation be able to guarantee that the hard-earned money of its citizens stays safe, inequality is decreased, our institutions allow for a competitive market, become open and responsible, and inspire entrepreneurship in everyone,” he said.
In the meanwhile, the Adani Group has refuted the accusations against Adani Green directors brought by the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the US Department of Justice.
