Rashtriya Hindu Sena chief Vishnu Gupta claimed Shiva temple inside Ajmer Dargah
Ajmer: National Hindu Army President Vishnu Gupta, who filed a plea on Wednesday to claim a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva within the Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah shrine in Ajmer, said the court has accepted their case and that the next hearing will take place on December 20.
“The court accepted our lawsuit today and sent notifications to the Archaeological Survey Department, the Ministry of Minority Affairs, and the Dargah Committee. “The hearing is scheduled for December 20th,” Vishnu Gupta informed the media.
Three parties in a legal petition alleging that there is a Shiva temple in the Ajmer dargah of Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti were ordered to get notice earlier on Wednesday by a municipal court in Ajmer, according to the plaintiff’s attorney.
Reporters in Ajmer were informed by advocate Yogesh Siroja that the case was heard in Civil Judge Manmohan Chandel’s court.
Notices have been sent to the relevant parties, which include the Ministry of Minority Affairs, the ASI, and the Dargah Committee. Although I am descended from Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty, I have not been invited to the celebration. “Our legal team is in contact with us,” he said.
The chairman of the All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council, Syed Naseruddin Chishty, criticized the increase in instances of different parties claiming mosques and dargahs.
“The nation is seeing an increase in these instances. We saw gangs claiming mosques and dargas every other day. Our nation and society do not benefit from this. India is emerging as a major world force today. How long will we be mired in the dispute over the mosque and temple? “I said.”
Chishty also called for the Central Government to become involved in the problem, saying that rules and legislation should be created to ensure that no one can claim religious organizations like this.
“The history of Ajmer spans 850 years… I urge the Indian government to get involved in this. In order to prevent anybody from claiming religious organizations like this, new laws and regulations should be created. How long would we continue to discover Shivalayas in mosques? said (RSS head) Mohan Bhagwat in 2022, and I agree with him,” he remarked.
When a survey team came to the Shahi Jama Masjid earlier this month to conduct an inspection of the mosque in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district amidst a significant police presence, some “anti-social elements” stone-pelted them.
After senior counsel Vishnu Shanker Jain filed a petition claiming the mosque was once a temple, this survey was a part of the legal proceedings.
Four people were killed and several more, including officials and residents, were injured in the stone-pelting incident that took place on November 24 when the ASI was inspecting the mosque from the Mughal period.
Members of the mosque’s management committee and local police were there to oversee a similar survey that was carried out earlier on November 19.
