Rakesh Roshan discussed the choice to re-release “Karan Arjun” in theaters in an interview with ANI, saying it was a means of determining if the film’s “reincarnation-based” plot appeals to the current generation.

“Because this is essentially an experiment, I am a little anxious. Because it was a clean entertainment picture with a reincarnation-based plot—a mother believes her boys will return, and they do—it was successful back then. I’m interested to see whether the current generation accepts such a tale. It will indicate that the generation hasn’t changed if they like the movie. However, if they don’t like it, it will show that things have changed,” he remarked.
Roshan also discussed the difficulties he had while creating Karan Arjun.

“I had to persuade the audience to believe in the plot, which made this a very challenging movie for me. It depicts how they are reincarnated, where they are born, how they meet, and how they locate their mother. A woman claims that her two boys will return, and they do. As a director, I had a difficult time persuading people,” he remarked.

Movie lines like “Mere Karan Arjun aayenge” and “Bhaag Arjun bhaag” have been incorporated into popular culture and are often used in memes.

“I see memes with dialogues like ‘Mere Karan Arjun aayenge’ and ‘Bhaag Arjun bhaag,'” Roshan said, expressing his joy with this lasting legacy. It’s wonderful to see that the movie, its characters, and its language are still remembered after thirty years. The fact that people’s recollections of it are still vivid makes me happy.

“I would love to act if someone offers me a role,” Roshan said in response to a question about performing once again. However, since I have so many duties as a producer and director, I wouldn’t cast myself in my own movie. I’m not able to manage production, directing, and being in front of the camera all at once.”

In addition to its simultaneous worldwide re-release, the film, which has gained cult status over the years, will be shown on single screens and multiplexes across India.

Released in 1995, “Karan Arjun” is a famous Bollywood film that centers on the themes of retribution and rebirth.
Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan play Karan and Arjun, two brothers, respectively. The film is full with intense action, poignant drama, and unforgettable dialogue. “Mere Karan Arjun aayenge,” a famous quote from Rakhee, is now among the most well-known in Bollywood history. Fans still hold the movie in high regard, and its re-release is eagerly awaited even after over thirty years.
