Rajinikanth discharged from Chennai’s Apollo Hospital after heart surgery

On October 3, at about 11 p.m., superstar Rajinikanth was released from Apollo Hospitals in Chennai. He underwent a cardiac operation where a transcatheter-assisted stent implantation was performed to address vascular edema. Following the successful operation on October 1, he spent two days under observation. Rajinikanth has been urged by doctors to take a few weeks off acting. After receiving the all-clear from his physicians, he is anticipated to begin production on filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film Coolie. Following this announcement, fans have been overjoyed and have hoped for a speedy recovery for him.

Fans of Rajinikanth have been worried about his recent hospital stay, but his wife, Latha Rajinikanth, reassured them in a statement to the media on Monday. The actor had a stomachache on Monday night and was brought to Apollo Hospital in Chennai. Regarding his health, Latha said that everything is well when the media inquired. It’s all right, she said.

One of the greatest performers in Indian films, Rajinikanth, is adored for his memorable parts and captivating on-screen persona. Known to everyone as “Thalaivar,” he has enthralled audiences for decades with successful blockbusters like Sivaji (2007), Baasha (1995), and most recently, the critically and economically successful Jailer (2023). His devoted fan following became concerned when he was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai, and they swiftly came together online to offer support and well wishes for a rapid recovery.

Rajinikanth dazzled audiences at the audio premiere of his much-awaited movie Vettaiyan before being admitted to the hospital. His presence was the star of the event, particularly when he stunned the audience with one of his signature dancing movements. Vettaiyan, a film directed by TJ Gnanavel, is scheduled for release on October 10 and has generated a lot of excitement since the publication of its official trailer.

With a whopping budget of Rs 160 crore, Lyca Productions produced Rajinikanth’s 170th movie. The anticipation for the film’s premiere has been heightened by the beautiful locales in Chennai, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Hyderabad where it was filmed.
