Rajasthan: NDRF hopes that the 3.5 year old girl who fell in a borewell will be rescued by today
Rajasthan: Despite difficult circumstances, disaster relief workers expect to finish the rescue operation on Thursday. Rescue operations to recover a three-and-a-half-year-old child who fell down a borewell in Kotputli, Rajasthan, on December 23 have reached a crucial point.
Authorities, including teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and local government, have been working to save the child who fell into the borewell while playing on her father’s property.
The NDRF team’s head, Yogesh Kumar Meena, told reporters that in order to get to the imprisoned girl, they must dig 170 meters below the surface.
“We used a piling machine to dig down to a depth of 150 meters. Once a stone was discovered, we had to replace the piling equipment. We’ve dug up to 160 meters so far, and we still have to dig down to 170 meters. Hopefully, we’ll finish the rescue operation today,” Meena said.
On Tuesday, members of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team used clips to lift the imprisoned child up 30 feet.
On Tuesday, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Brajesh Chaudhary said that the rescue team’s current top goal is to keep the youngster alive. “The girl was 150 feet below,” Additional District Magistrate (ADM) OP Saran had previously said. We have raised her around thirty feet using clips. Her rescue is our goal, and the NDRF team is working on it as well. She is continually receiving oxygen. We’re boring around her in an attempt to rescue her.
“Our whole staff is involved, and cameras have also been deployed. Saran informed the media report that efforts are on to remove the child as quickly as possible.
Since the event was reported, teams from the district administration and medical staff have been there to make sure safety procedures are followed. To guarantee that rescue efforts can continue uninterrupted, local officials have roped off the area.
