Rajasthan CM pays floral tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his 395th birth anniversary at Raj Bhawan in Jaipur
Jaipur: On the celebration of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s 395th birthday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Governor Haribhau Bagde presented him with flowers at Raj Bhavan in Jaipur on Wednesday.

A festival honoring the heritage of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will take place today at the Birla Auditorium, according to Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade.
“Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary is today. Jaipur is celebrating this event for the first time. The statue of Shivaji Maharaj was carried from Nashik by workers from Maharashtra. The event will take place at the Birla Auditorium at noon. I want Jaipur residents to honor Shivaji Maharaj today. “Said Bagade.”
Speaking on the event, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma praised the Maratha community for planning the festival and emphasized the sacrifices made by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
“On the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary, the Maratha community in Rajasthan has organized this function…He is among those who have devoted their lives to serving their country. I give him my respect. Once again, I want to thank the Maratha community.
In the meanwhile, residents in Nagpur, Maharashtra, are lavishly commemorating Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary. With flags and dhols, they were visible on the streets honoring the memory of the great man.
On February 19, 1630, Shivaji Maharaj was born in Pune’s Shivneri Fort. He is regarded as one of the finest soldiers in Indian history and built the Maratha Empire in the 17th century.
After a bloody battle with the Mughals in 1670, he established the Maratha Empire in western India in 1674. For the local population, Shivaji Maharaj constructed a comprehensive civil code in addition to a well-structured administrative apparatus.
Honoring the great warrior’s role in the restoration of the Maratha Empire and acknowledging his vast legacy are the main goals of the day.
