After being detained by Mumbai Police in 2021 on suspicion of producing and disseminating pornographic material, Kundra has always refuted all of the accusations, claiming that his commercial endeavors were lawful.

Kundra was upset at the media’s use of his wife, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, in the scandals during the media interview.

“Shilpa Shetty has put in a lot of effort and has gained a lot of recognition here. The fact that you are using my wife’s name in an issue that is mine is just so unjust. Why? Since you get clickbait? Her reputation for opinions is being ruined by you. Why include her when she has nothing to do with this? “Just because I am her spouse?” Kundra asked.

Kundra, a well-known personality in business and sports who owns an IPL franchise, stressed that the public should not bring his family into his personal problems.

From owning an IPL franchise to being a businessman with several assets in India, I have been here for 15 years. In my opinion, I am well-known. This kind of reputational damage is wrong. You may say anything you want about me, but don’t bring up my family too much,” he remarked.

Following Kundra’s involvement in a money laundering case connected to the creation of pornographic material and his summons for further interrogation by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), the controversy around him grew.

Potential financial malfeasance and the laundering of money from the illegal industry have been the main subjects of the inquiry.

Kundra also complained about what he called “trial by media.”

“I was more offended by the media trial than I was by the court cases or the legal system proceedings. Although I am aware that the media is reporting and fulfilling its mandate, some journalists produce news without doing fact-checking.

This is what some portions have done. There will always be a love-hate connection between ourselves and the media. “Facts should be verified, but we cannot survive without one another,” he said.
Kundra also conveyed his appreciation for his family’s and his wife Shilpa Shetty’s support.

“My wife has been really helpful; she is aware of my limitations. “My whole family has been really encouraging,” he said.
Notwithstanding his legal troubles, Kundra emphasized that he lives a modest existence with few friends and would rather concentrate on his family than the diversions of public life.

He also urged the media to cover delicate subjects with more responsibility.

“Avoid bringing forward false information. “Check the facts before writing anything, but if you have any doubts, talk to my PR team,” he stated.
