“Democracy and the Constitution have been murdered again in BJP-ruled Assam and Uttar Pradesh,” Rahul Gandhi said in a post on X. Across the nation, the Congress party is engaging in satyagraha in favor of Babasaheb and the Constitution. It is terribly unfortunate and unacceptable that our Congress activists Mridul Islam in Guwahati and Prabhat Pandey in Lucknow died as a result of an overabundance of police during this time.
“I send their bereaved loved ones my sincerest sympathy. These families are entitled to complete justice. The Constitution and the truth will be upheld by the majority of Congress,” he said.

On Wednesday, Congress members and leaders marched to Raj Bhavans in Patna, Guwahati, Chandigarh, and Jammu as part of national rallies. Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s comments on B.R. Ambedkar, the current Manipur issue, the purported delay on the Adani scandal, and the need for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood were the main causes of the protests.

On Wednesday, a Congress worker lost his life as the party was protesting outside the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. Ajay Rai, the leader of the State Congress, said that “police brutality” was to blame for the killing.

Section 103 of the BNS was used to file a formal complaint at the Husainganj police station. The police identified the deceased as 28-year-old Prabhat Pandey.

The victim’s relatives filed the complaint, which led to the lawsuit being filed. According to them, Prabhat Pandey had no underlying medical issues.

In the lawsuit, family members disputed that the young person had any underlying medical conditions.

According to DCP Central Lucknow Raveena Tyagi, Prabhat Pandey seems to be uninjured based on the physicians’ first assessment.

At around 5 p.m. today, a 28-year-old Gorakhpur resident called Prabhat Pandey, son of Deepak Pandey, was taken from the Congress office to the Civil Hospital unconscious. He was pronounced dead by the physicians. According to the physicians, he seems to be uninjured,” Raveena Tyagi said.
