Punjab Police busted a terror module near Amritsar airport
Amritsar: On Sunday evening, Punjab police detained three individuals and dismantled a terrorist organization close to Amritsar airport. According to authorities, the cops found one AK-47, many rounds, a 0.3-bore and a 0.32-bore handgun with cartridges. Buta Singh, Karandeep, and Lovepreet have been named as the suspects.

“Police Commissionerate Amritsar has achieved huge success,” said Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, the Amritsar Police Commissioner. Three individuals have been detained after we dismantled a terrorist organization. One AK-47, many rounds, a 0.3-bore Glock pistol, and a 0.32-bore Glock handgun with cartridges have all been found. The defendants, Buta Singh, Karandeep, and Lovepreet, are Amritsar Rural residents.
He said that the network was founded by Buta Singh, who is the primary culprit.
“Cutouts provided them with weapons and ammo. He said that they were acting after being seduced by the promise of money.
He said that they have financial interests in the terror network.
“We are looking into how they got their weapons and ammo to them. We are also looking at the whole drone, supplier, and financial network. I commend my team for completing the procedure effectively. While being transported here, one of the accused attempted to shoot our ASI. Lovepreet and Buta Singh were hurt as a consequence of our team’s retaliation, which included SHO Sadar,” he said.
According to the Director General of Punjab (DGP) Police, after a short gunfight earlier on January 30, Punjab Police detained two officers and found two grenades, one revolver, and live ammunition.
Following the police’s receipt of confidential information, the arrest was made. The two individuals that were apprehended, Robinjeet Singh and Harpreet Singh, were members of the Satta Naushehra Gang.
On social media X, the DGP wrote, “Acting swiftly on secret information, 2 operatives (Robinjeet Singh & Harpreet Singh of USA-based Gurdev Singh and Canada-based terrorist Lakhbir, Satta Naushehra Gang) were apprehended after a brief exchange of fire, and 2 grenades and 1 pistol were recovered along with live cartridges.”
