Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann strongly attacked the Center for illegally sending back Indian citizens from America
Amritsar: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann blasted the Center for deporting Indian nationals who allegedly entered the country illegally, claiming that Amritsar was specifically picked to suggest that only Punjabis were undocumented immigrants.

The second aircraft carrying Indian nationals who are suspected of having moved to the US illegally is scheduled to arrive in Amritsar on Saturday, according to CM Mann’s Friday announcement.
He also emphasized the danger posed by Pakistan, India’s adversary, being so close to Amritsar.
“A plot to discredit Punjab and Punjabis is underway. In Amritsar, the first aircraft touched down. A second aircraft, purportedly transporting Indian nationals who entered the US illegally, is now scheduled to touch down in Amritsar. The rationale by which Amritsar was chosen to land the aircraft should be disclosed by the MEA.
To discredit Punjab, you choose Amritsar. It is likely that US officials were shackling our personnel during the meeting between PM Modi and US President Trump. Has Trump offered this as a gift? The adversary nation of Pakistan is directly adjacent to the American military aircraft as they arrive in Amritsar. The distance to Lahore is 40 kilometers. “What sort of foreign policy is this?” said the chief minister of Punjab.
He asked the Center why Ahmedabad, or any other location, was not selected.
“Sheikh Hasina touched down at Ghaziabad’s Hindon. How come these Indian nationals who supposedly entered the US illegally may end up in Hindon? We will bring our people from the National Capital once they have arrived there. Amritsar was specifically picked to demonstrate that exclusively Punjabis are undocumented migrants. Why aren’t Ambala or Ahmedabad selected? The BJP consistently plots to discredit Punjab. “Why are flights coming in from the US now?” he said. “They don’t allow international flights to operate from Amritsar, saying it isn’t suitable for it.”
“I will vehemently disagree with this. “I demand that the MEA and the MHA change the route and make the plane land in Delhi, Hindon, or Ahmedabad while it is still on board,” CM Mann said.
Interestingly, a US Air Force aircraft transporting Indian nationals who “illegally immigrated” to the US landed in Amritsar, Punjab, on February 5. The jet that touched down in Amritsar had 104 Indian citizens in all.
Both within and outside of Parliament, opposition parties attacked the administration, saying that the deported Indians were “ill-treated and handcuffed” and that they were transported in an “inhuman manner” aboard a US military aircraft.
