Priyanka Kakkar said, the people of the national capital have made up their mind to elect three-time Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal
Aam Aadmi Party National Spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar stated on Saturday that the people of the nation’s capital have decided to elect three-time Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, just hours after the Bharatiya Janata Party unveiled its initial list of candidates for the forthcoming assembly elections in Delhi.
Kakkar continued to attack the BJP, claiming that despite the party announcing the names of 29 candidates, it has no chief ministerial face for the elections.
“The BJP lacks a CM face. The list of 29 applicants was recently made public.Since he is aware of the situation on the ground, the Delhi BJP Chief has also declined to run in the state polls. Delhi’s electorate has decided to support Arvind Kejriwal,” Kakkar said.
The BJP announces its first slate of 29 candidates for the February 2025 assembly elections in Delhi. Party leader Arvind Kejriwal is facing up against Parvesh Verma in the New Delhi assembly seat.
In a three-cornered fight, Verma, a former MP and the son of former Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma, will compete against former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Sandeep Dikshit, the son of Congress politician and former Delhi CM Shiela Dikshit.
The candidate from Karol Bagh, Dushyant Gautam, is also the national general secretary of the BJP.
Arvinder Singh Lovely from Gandhi Nagar, Kailash Gehlot from Bijwasan, and Manjinder Singh Sirsa from Rajouri Garden have all been fielded.
Ramesh Bidhuri, another prominent BJP contender, will compete against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi from Kalkaji.
The polling dates have not yet been announced by the Election Commission.
The AAP, led by Kejriwal, won 62 seats in the 2020 elections after winning a remarkable 67 out of 70 seats in the 2015 assembly elections. The Congress failed to open its account for the second consecutive round, while the BJP increased its number of seats from three to eight.
