“Come, at 8:27 AM, let’s all recite the Navkar Mahamantra together. Let all voices contribute harmony, serenity, and power. In an X post, PM Modi urged people to recite the mantra in unison to foster peace, inner strength, and social harmony. “Let us all come together to enhance the spirit of brotherhood and togetherness,” he said.

The five highest beings—Arihants (perfected souls), Siddhas (liberated souls), Acharyas (spiritual leaders), Upadhyayas (teachers), and Sadhus (monks)—are honoured in the Navkar Mantra, a potent invocation that is highly regarded in Jainism. It is regarded as a global song that encourages inner awareness and general well-being across denominational lines.

In Jain traditions, 8:27 AM has spiritual significance and is often connected to fortunate planetary alignments or peaceful meditation.

The Prime Minister’s appeal speaks to India’s many spiritual traditions, intercultural harmony, and goodwill among all people.

PM Modi has always emphasised the value of cultural and spiritual awareness in public life, and this plea is in line with that.

He has often urged people to adopt customs that promote inner serenity and national unity throughout the years, especially during important holidays or celebrations.
