President Droupadi Murmu wishes citizens a Happy New Year

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu wished the populace a happy New Year and asked them to reaffirm their dedication to cooperating to build a more promising, inclusive, and sustainable future for both India and the rest of the globe.

President Droupadi Murmu said in a post on Facebook, “Happy New Year to everybody! I hope that everyone has happiness, peace, and wealth in 2025! Let’s reaffirm our commitment to collaborating to build a more promising, inclusive, and sustainable future for India and the rest of the globe on this special day.

In addition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent out his New Year’s greetings to the populace, wishing them all prosperity, new chances, and boundless happiness.

“Happy 2025!” PM Modi said in a post on X. I hope everyone has an abundance of happiness, prosperity, and new possibilities this year. PM Modi posted on X, “May everyone be blessed with wonderful health and prosperity.”

India celebrated its 2025 with excitement and fervor as people in cities all throughout the country celebrated the milestone. In many locations, New Year’s celebrations began with themed décor, live music performances, cultural activities, and parties.

There were sizable crowds celebrating the New Year at Delhi’s well-known locations, including Hauz Khas, Connaught Place, and Lajpat Nagar. Delhi Police prepared security measures in advance to guarantee a secure celebration.

To greet the New Year, people flocked to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. Many cities also held special parties on the occasion at their hotels. People celebrated the arrival of 2025 by dancing in the streets of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In the same vein, when midnight arrived in Lucknow, people rejoiced and danced.
Many places had amazing fireworks displays as the New Year rolled around. Mumbai’s Versova Beach, Chowpatty Beach, and Juhu Beach were crowded with partygoers. To view the fireworks, people also congregated near Marine Drive.

Meanwhile, throngs applauded and danced in the streets of Manali, a well-known tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh. People in West Bengal used their mobile phones to flash lights in celebration. The New Year began with fireworks lighting up the sky in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Cake cutting was another way that people celebrated in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Percussion instruments were played in the streets of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, while a sizable crowd celebrated the event in Chennai.
