Patna: On Saturday, the third day of the cold wave in Patna was commemorated by Prashant Kishor, the leader of the Jan Suraaj Party, fasting till death. The chief has been demonstrating in favor of the BPSC students who are requesting that the exam for the Bihar Civil Services (BPSC) be canceled.

‘Sold’ more than half of the BPSC seats, the CEO said.

“More than half of the seats are sold, which is the problem with the more serious corruption allegations. There are 15,000 students taking the reexamination today. 350,000 pupils who were protesting were denied the chance to take the examination. Speaking to the media, Kishor said, “It doesn’t matter when you appear in the exam; even if you studied hard, it doesn’t guarantee you a seat. The seat is only given to those who gave the money to the corrupt people.”

The head of Jan Suraaj said that individuals were openly selling the position of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) for Rs 1.5 crore.

“The post of DSP is being sold out at Rs 1.5 crore; people are openly doing that—the government is not commenting on it… the public’s action on this will definitely be seen after 5 years, like it was seen when Nitish Kumar got a low number of seats during the elections.” Kishor spoke more.

Kishor Jad pledged on January 3 to keep up his indefinite fast till the Bihar government complied with the demands of the BPSC students who were demonstrating.

“Until the students’ demands are satisfied, I have no intention of breaking my fast. From our end, we recommended that the CM meet with the kids and work with them to come up with a solution. I don’t mind breaking the fast if it occurs,” he told the media.

Due to suspected question paper leaks, the students are demanding that the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) revoke the Integrated Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024, which was held on December 13.
