According to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the Prime Minister is also anticipated to have bilateral discussions with invited leaders and equivalents from BRICS member nations while in Kazan.

“Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security” is the subject of this year’s conference. It said that it would provide leaders a crucial forum for debating significant international concerns.

As to the ministry, “the summit will provide an invaluable chance to evaluate the advancement of BRICS initiatives and to pinpoint possible domains for future cooperation.”

THIS JULY, PM MODI VISITED RUSSIA

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made his first two-day trip to Russia since the nation’s conflict with Ukraine in July of this year.

Following their meeting at his home outside of Moscow, PM Modi and Putin had discussions in the Kremlin.

When the prime minister last visited Russia in 2019, he met with Putin at a symposium held in Vladivostok, a port in the country’s far east. At a Shanghai Cooperation Organization bloc conference in Uzbekistan in September 2022, the leaders also had the opportunity to meet.

Later, PM Modi published a photo of himself with Putin on X and commented, “Our people will greatly benefit from stronger ties between our nations.”

In other footage released by the Kremlin, the two leaders were seen visiting Putin’s home in Novo-Ogaryovo, which is close to Moscow.
