The Prime Minister will open the new Jammu Railway Division, a significant step to improve connectivity in the area. In addition, he will lay the cornerstone for the East Coast Railway’s Rayagada Railway Division Building and open the Charlapalli New Terminal Station in Telangana.

Jammu & Kashmir and the surrounding areas would greatly benefit from the construction of the 742.1-kilometer Jammu Railway Division, which includes portions from Pathankot to Joginder Nagar, Bhogpur Sirwal to Pathankot, Batala to Pathankot, and Pathankot to Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla.

Additionally, this project would enhance connection to other regions of India and fulfill the people’s long-standing aspirations. It will also boost tourism, build infrastructure, provide job opportunities, and advance the region’s general socioeconomic growth.

At an estimated cost of Rs 413 crore, the Charlapalli New Terminal Station in Telangana’s Medchal-Malkajgiri district was constructed as a new coaching terminal with a second access. Congestion at the city’s current coaching terminals, such as Secunderabad, Hyderabad, and Kacheguda, would be reduced by an environmentally friendly terminal with excellent passenger facilities.

The East Coast Railway’s Rayagada Railway Division Building will have its foundation stone laid by the prime minister. Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and the surrounding territories will have better connection, which will contribute to the region’s overall socioeconomic growth.
