PM Narendra Modi pays tribute to ‘Sahibzaads’ on ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ and remembers their bravery and sacrifice
New Delhi: On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored the “Sahibzadas” and recalled their valor and sacrifice in honor of “Veer Baal Diwas.”
“At a very young age, they stood firm in their faith and principles, inspiring generations with their courage, and their sacrifice is a shining example of valor and a commitment to one’s values,” the Prime Minister said in a social media post on X.
“On this Veer Baal Diwas, we honor the Sahibzades’ unmatched courage and selflessness. They inspired generations with their bravery at an early age by standing firmly to their beliefs and ideals. Their selflessness is a brilliant illustration of bravery and dedication to one’s principles. We also honor Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Gujri Ji’s valor. “May they always lead us to create a society that is more compassionate and just,” PM Modi wrote on X.
Today at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, PM Modi will inaugurate the Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan and take part in the countrywide Veer Baal Diwas festivities.
The event highlights the significance of children as the cornerstone of India’s future and is set to start at about noon.
The Prime Minister will introduce the Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan, which intends to enhance nutritional outcomes and well-being by bolstering the delivery of nutrition-related services and guaranteeing active community engagement, according to a PMO announcement.
According to the PMO announcement, a number of programs will be implemented nationwide to involve young people, raise awareness of the day’s importance, and cultivate a culture of bravery and patriotism.
The MyGov and MyBharat Portals will host a number of online contests, including interactive tests. In schools, child care facilities, and Anganwadi centers, engaging activities such as storytelling, creative writing, and poster-making will be conducted.
Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) awardees will also be in attendance at the event.
On 9 January 2022, Prime Minister Modi said that December 26 will be ‘Veer Baal Diwas’ in honor of the bravery of Sahibzades (the sons of Guru Gobind Singh) and their pursuit of justice.
