PM Narendra Modi expressed grief over the demise of Malayalam writer MT Vasudevan Nair
New Delhi: Malayali writer MT Vasudevan Nair died in a private hospital in Kozhikode on Thursday at the age of 91. Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his sorrow over the loss.
The PM claimed on social media that the author was regarded as one of the most renowned names in Malayalam literature and film.
“I’m saddened by the death of one of the most renowned people in Malayalam literature and film, Shri MT Vasudevan Nair. His writings have influenced generations and will continue to do so because of their in-depth examination of human emotions. Additionally, he gave voice to the marginalized and silenced,” the tweet said.
Additionally, the Prime Minister expressed his sympathies to the writer’s family and fans.
“His supporters and family are in my thoughts. According to the post, “Om Shanti.”
President Droupadi Murmu also conveyed his sorrow at the writer’s passing earlier today.
The president claimed on social media X that the death of the writer had made the literary world destitute.
“The literary world has suffered with the passing of the well-known Malayalam author Shri M. T. Vasudevan Nair. His work brought rural India to life. He had produced important contributions to movies and received prestigious literary honors. The post said, “He received the Padma Bhushan.”
Additionally, the President sent her sympathies to the writer’s family.”I convey my heartfelt condolences to the members of his family and the large number of his readers and admirers,” the message said.
One of the most successful Malayalam novelists and screenplay authors is Vasudevan Nair, often known as MT.
In addition, he directed movies and authored travelogues, essays, and short tales.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the Kerala government observed MT Vasudevan Nair’s passing by observing official mourning on December 26 and 27.
