PM Modi will launch, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several projects worth Rs 12,850 crore today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch, inaugurate, and lay the foundation stone for several health-related projects valued at approximately Rs 12,850 crore on Tuesday at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in the nation’s capital, in honor of Dhanvantari Jayanti and the 9th Ayurveda Day.
According to a press statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister will begin expanding health coverage to all elderly persons 70 years of age and above as a significant addition to the flagship program Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY).
This will further assist in ensuring that all elderly people, regardless of their financial situation, have access to health coverage.
According to the announcement, the Prime Minister has consistently worked to provide high-quality healthcare services across the nation.
PM Modi will open and lay the cornerstone of many hospital facilities, significantly enhancing the healthcare infrastructure.
Phase II of India’s first All India Institute of Ayurveda will be opened by PM Modi. Among other things, it has a Panchakarma hospital, an Ayurvedic pharmacy for making drugs, a sports medicine section, a central library, an IT and startup incubation center, and a 500-seat theater.
In Madhya Pradesh, he will also open three medical schools in Mandsaur, Neemuch, and Seoni.
According to the release, he will also open new facilities and services at several AIIMS in New Delhi, which will include a Jan Aushadhi Kendra, as well as Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh, Kalyani in West Bengal, Patna in Bihar, Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, and Guwahati in Assam.
Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will open a Critical Care Block in Bargarh, Odisha, and a Super Speciality Block at Government Medical College in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.
Additionally, he is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for 21 Critical Care Blocks under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Manipur, Tamil Nadu, and Rajasthan; five nursing colleges in Shivpuri, Ratlam, Khandwa, Rajgarh, and Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh; and a number of facilities and service extensions at AIIMS in New Delhi and Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.
Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will lay the groundwork for ESIC hospitals in Faridabad, Haryana; Bommasandra and Narasapur, Karnataka; Indore, Madhya Pradesh; Meerut, Uttar Pradesh; and Atchutapuram, Andhra Pradesh. He will also open an ESIC hospital in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Approximately 55 lakh ESI participants would benefit from these developments in terms of healthcare.
According to the statement, PM Modi has been a steadfast supporter of increasing the use of technology to improve service delivery across industries.
He will introduce drone services at 11 tertiary healthcare institutions in a creative use of drone technology to improve service delivery and increase access to healthcare.
RIMS Imphal in Manipur, AIIMS Jodhpur in Rajasthan, AIIMS Patna in Bihar, AIIMS Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh, AIIMS Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh, AIIMS Raipur in Chhattisgarh, AIIMS Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh, AIIMS Guwahati in Assam, AIIMS Rishikesh in Uttarakhand, and AIIMS Bibinagar in Telangana.
In order to provide prompt medical attention, he would also introduce Helicopter Emergency Medical Services from AIIMS Rishikesh. The U-WIN site will be launched by the prime minister.
By completely digitizing the immunization process, it will help both expectant mothers and newborns. According to the announcement, it will guarantee that pregnant women and children (birth to age 16) get life-saving vaccinations against 12 vaccine-preventable illnesses on time.
The prime minister will also introduce the “Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan,” a national initiative to increase public awareness of health issues.
In addition, he will introduce each state’s and Utah’s State-specific Action Plan on Climate Change and Human Health, which will include adaptation plans for creating healthcare systems that are climate resilient, among other things.
