PM Modi visited J.J. in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. Inaugurates 1,675 newly constructed flats for cluster residents

At the Swabhiman Apartments in Ashok Vihar, Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave keys to qualified recipients and officially opened 1,675 freshly built apartments for residents of JJ clusters.

PM Modi also toured recently built apartments for residents of Jhuggi Jhopri (JJ) clusters as part of the In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project prior to the inauguration.

In his interactions with the beneficiaries, PM Modi received their appreciation for the keys to the newly built Swabhiman Apartments.

In a social media post on X, the BJP quoted a recipient and said, “Modiji does what he claims… ‘Jahan jhuggie wahin makaan’ (home where there is a slum) was what Modiji had promised, and he kept it.

The Prime Minister said earlier in his post on X that “We are dedicated to providing adequate housing for every Indian, as a home is where dreams take root.” 1,675 freshly built apartments under the In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project will be launched at today’s event. Many individuals will live happier and healthier lives as a result of this. I’m excited to give some of the recipients the keys to their residences as well.”

According to a press release, the project’s goal is to provide the people who live in Delhi’s JJ clusters a better, healthier living environment with all the services and resources they need. Eligible recipients pay less than 7% of the entire amount spent by the government on building an apartment, which includes Rs 30,000 for five years of upkeep and Rs 1.42 lakh as a minimum contribution.

Along with virtually inaugurating the World Trade Centre officially Nauroji Nagar and the GPRA Type-II Quarters in Sarojini Nagar, PM Narendra Modi also laid the cornerstone for Veer Savarkar College in Roshanpura, Najafgarh, and the CBSE Integrated Office Complex in Dwarka.

Delhi’s LG VK Saxena commented on the event, saying, “Today, PM Modi will give the apartment keys to the slum dwellers… Each of these homes was constructed in accordance with our PM’s vision. These apartments have elevators, kid-friendly playgrounds, and a variety of amenities.
