PM Modi urged people to contribute here
Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored the valiant warriors on Saturday’s Armed Forces Flag Day and encouraged citizens to donate to the Armed Forces Flag Day fund.
PM Modi paid homage to the military on X, writing: “Armed Forces Flag Day is about honoring the bravery, tenacity, and sacrifices of our brave warriors. We are humbled by their sacrifices, inspired by their courage, and kept secure by their commitment. Additionally, let’s make a donation to the Armed Forces Flag Day fund.
PM Modi was pinned with the Armed Forces Flag by a defense officer.
According to an Indian Army post on X earlier today, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi also made a donation to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.

“On behalf of the Indian Army, General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), made a donation to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund on the eve of Armed Forces Flag Day. The tweet said, “On this occasion, the Secretary of the Kendriya Sainik Board pinned an Armed Forces Flag on COAS.”
Rajnath Singh, the minister of defense, asked everyone to kindly contribute to the enjoyment.
Singh urged the public to come forward and make generous contributions to the Armed Forces Flag Day (AFFD) Fund, saying that it is the nation’s collective duty to ensure the welfare of all soldiers, serving and retired, as well as their families, according to a statement released by the Defense Ministry.
Singh characterized the day as a chance for the public to acknowledge the troops’ unwavering bravery, sacrifice, and devotion and to renew their commitment to fulfilling their duties to these courageous individuals in a video statement posted on X on the occasion.
“Our armed forces serve as an unbreakable barrier that is always prepared to defend us against attacks from the outside as well as during natural calamities. Every Indian may be inspired by their selflessness and the discipline of our army,” he added.
Additionally, he reaffirmed the government’s dedication to the welfare of former military members and said that every effort is being made to meet the requirements of veterans and their families.
