PM Modi appreciated the letter sent by US President Joe Biden, which was handed over to him by Sullivan

During his visit to New Delhi on Monday, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan evaluated the progress made in the last four years in the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sullivan sent PM Modi a letter from US President Joe Biden, which he liked.

According to a Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) news statement, PM Modi reiterated his resolve to further strengthen strong collaboration between India and the US for the benefit of both nations’ citizens and the greater good. He also sent his warmest regards to US First Lady Jill Biden and President Joe Biden.

“They positively assessed the significant advancement in the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership over the last four years, especially in the key areas of technology, defence, space, civil nuclear, clean energy, semiconductors, and AI,” according to a statement from MEA.

PM Modi recounted his encounters with Biden at the meeting, including his September trip to the US for the Quad Leaders’ Summit last year.

According to MEA, “Recalling his various meetings with President Biden, including during his visit to the US in September 2024 for the Quad Leaders’ Summit, PM appreciated President Biden’s contributions towards strengthening the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, which leaves an enduring legacy.”

Additionally, PM Modi shared information on his meeting with US NSA Sullivan on X. For the sake of people and the greater good, PM Modi expressed his excitement about advancing the momentum in the two countries’ relations.

“It was a pleasure to meet the US National Security Advisor @JakeSullivan46,” PM Modi said in a post that was shared on X. In the fields of technology, defense, space, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence, among others, the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership has reached unprecedented heights. Anticipate strengthening the bonds between our two democracies for the benefit of our citizens and the welfare of the world.

On Monday, US NSA met with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in New Delhi as part of his two-day trip to India. The two parties discussed strengthening their bilateral, regional, and international collaboration during the meeting.

Jaishankar emphasized the importance of their conversations and praised Sullivan’s “personal contribution” to strengthening the India-US alliance throughout the last four years.

Jaishankar shared a message on X that said, “It was a pleasure to meet US NSA @JakeSullivan46 this morning in New Delhi. carried on our current conversations on strengthening regional, bilateral, and international partnerships. appreciated how candid our discussions have been over the last four years. valued his role in establishing a more solid and intimate relationship between the US and India.

On Monday, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval also had a meeting with his colleague, Jake Sullivan. During their high-level discussion, the two leaders evaluated developments in a variety of areas, including cyber, maritime security, and defense.
