Parvesh Verma accuses Arvind Kejriwal of failing to clean Yamuna river despite repeated promises
New Delhi: AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal came under fire from Parvesh Verma on Wednesday for not cleaning the Yamuna River in spite of his repeated assurances. Citing Kejriwal‘s inactivity while in power, Verma, who is running from the New Delhi Assembly seat, asked people to back the BJP.
“Arvind Kejriwal promised to clean the Yamuna River, but he never followed through on his promise. I urge everyone to support the BJP by casting their ballots. He said that poison had been introduced into the Yamuna River by the Haryana government. He had three chances but accomplished nothing. This time, people have chosen to create a BJP administration. He said, “The lotus will bloom in the New Delhi seat as well.”
He said that Arvind Kejariwal “cheated” on people despite having eleven years to perform.
Cleaning up the Yamuna will be our first focus. I urge Delhi’s citizens to elect a capable administration. He (Arvind Kejriwal) had an opportunity for eleven years, but people now realize that they were duped and that all of those things were false, so they won’t fall for his falsehoods this time,” he said.

Parents with little children will have access to a crèche, and emergency medical personnel will be on hand. A hotline number (1950) and color-coded polling places will also help voters find their assigned booth and answer election-related questions.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP campaign attacked Kejriwal for alleged corruption and Yamuna water problems. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, two prominent Congressmen, staged rallies in the meanwhile and said that the AAP was “damaging” Delhi’s infrastructure.
The seats of Kalkaji, Jangpura, and New Delhi are all fiercely fought. The AAP, which now controls almost 60 of the assembly’s 70 members, is running for reelection on the strength of its past performance.
Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal (AAP), Parvesh Verma of the BJP, and Sandeep Dikshit of the Congress (son of former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit) are in a high-profile three-way race for the New Delhi seat.
In the Kalkaji seat, incumbent Delhi Chief Minister Atishi is running against Ramesh Bidhuri of the BJP and Alka Lamba of the Congress.
Manish Sisodia of the AAP, Farhad Suri of the Congress, and Tarvinder Singh Marwah of the BJP will compete in Jangpura.
While the Bharatiya Janata Party is doing all in its ability to regain control, the governing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is aiming for a third term.
