Owaisi gave a befitting reply to Devendra Fadnavis’s comment
Maharashtra: In a scathing rebuttal to Devendra Fadnavis’ “Vote Jihad-Dharma Yuddha” speech, Asaduddin Owaisi, the chief of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), said that the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra would not be elected chief minister and that his hopes will be dashed.
“Now he (Devendra Fadnavis) is not going to become the Chief Minister,” Owaisi told reporters. He’s going to have his hopes crushed.I am aware that their unity is all for show; on the inside, they are simply pulling each other’s legs.
Owaisi made this statement while promoting AIMIM candidate Imtiaz Jaleel in the Aurangabad East Assembly seat.
Fadnavis said that the “Dharma-Yuddha” of the vote should be used to oppose the “Vote-Jihad” during his Saturday campaign for Mahayuti candidates in the Assembly elections.
Additionally, he claimed that the city’s name could not be changed by anybody. After Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Aurangabad was renamed Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the second Maratha state ruler.
In the meantime, the BJP unveiled its manifesto on Sunday, offering the people of the state a total of 25 guarantees in the event that they are voted to another term in office.
Amit Shah and other Mumbai leaders unveiled the BJP’s platform, which includes pledges to reduce energy costs, stabilize the prices of vital commodities, provide women Rs 2,100 per month, and cancel up to Rs 15,000 in loans for farmers, including a 20% MSP subsidy.
The state’s assembly elections are set for November 20. On November 23, the votes from each of the 288 seats will be tallied.
In an attempt to regain control of the state, the opposition MVA coalition—which consists of the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and Nationalist Congress Party (SCP)—is vying with the Mahayuti alliance, which is made up of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Ajit Pawar-led NCP, and the Shiv Sena, headed by Eknath Shinde.
The Congress won 44 seats, the Shiv Sena 56, and the BJP 105 in the 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections. In 2014, the Congress won 42 seats, the Shiv Sena 63, and the BJP 122.
