On Women’s Day, BJP’s Nida Khan said, ‘Women’s voices are being heard’
Bareilly: In honor of Women’s Day, BJP politician and activist Nida Khan, who is well-known for opposing triple talaq, considered the notable advancements in women’s status during the last 20 years.

“Women today are much stronger and can speak up for themselves, which was difficult in the past,” Nida Khan told the media report. One significant step toward empowering women was the legislation prohibiting triple talaq, which was common in Muslim communities. Women have been able to speak out and defend their rights thanks to this legislation.
“The administration would not even write their report,” she said. However, the surroundings have suddenly altered. Women are progressing. Women are being heard. Women’s helplines are being operated. For women, a lot is being done.
She went on to say that attempts had been made to better the status of women since the administration changed. Many women used to be silenced because the government and police did not stand by them. Women would be subjected to domestic abuse and their concerns would go unanswered if they spoke out against triple talaq. However, things are suddenly changing.
According to Nida Khan, a lot has been done for women, and the climate has improved, enabling them to defend their rights and ask for assistance when necessary.
In the meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu greeted all women nationwide in her remarks on the eve of International Women’s Day, which is celebrated annually on March 8.
“I send my warmest regards to all sisters and daughters on this International Women’s Day,” the President’s Secretariat said in a press statement. “International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate women’s accomplishments and their distinctive contributions to the nation and society. Our family, community, and country are built on the backs of women. Despite obstacles and hardships, women have effectively forged their identities in a variety of sectors, according to President Murmu.
But there is still more work to be done to enhance the socioeconomic status of women. Together, let’s commit to building a society in which all women are respected and have equal access to chances for advancement. She said, “I wish all women achievers a bright future and congratulate them.”
