Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida will launch the third phase of ‘Subhadra Yojana’ on November 24
Odisha: The state government’s ‘Subhadra Yojana,’ a cash transfer program, will begin its third phase on Sunday, November 24, according to Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida. Parida said in an interview with a media report on Thursday that the program would be introduced in the Sundargarh area and that over 20 lakh women will gain from it.
“On November 24, we will begin the third phase of the Subhadra Yojana in Sundargarh, including around 20 lakh women this time. “I am confident that we will meet our goal of enrolling more than one crore women in the Subhadra Yojana by December,” said Deputy Chief Minister Parida.
This year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Odisha government’s flagship program, ‘Subhadra,’ in Bhubaneswar.
A government statement claims that with the goal of helping more than one crore women, it is the state’s biggest women-focused program. Over the course of five years, from 2024–2025 to 2028–2029, every eligible recipient between the ages of 21 and 60 would get Rs 50,000. The beneficiaries would get Rs 10,000 per year in two equal payments, which will be deposited straight to their bank accounts that are connected to DBT and Aadhaar. The Prime Minister started transferring money to the bank accounts of more than 10 lakh women at the event.
Separately, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, the Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha, offered his thoughts on the exit polls in Jharkhand and Maharashtra. He said that the NDA was the only party capable of establishing a stable administration in these states.
Deo told reporters, “It’s just going to be two days longer. India’s citizens want a stable administration, and I think the NDA is the only party capable of providing that.”
