Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan’s horror thriller Chhorii 2 will premiere on this OTT platform on April 11

Mumbai: Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan play the key parts in the much-anticipated franchise horror movie Chhorii 2, and the OTT behemoth Amazon Prime Video has revealed the film’s launch date.

On April 11, 2025, it is scheduled to make its global debut. Vishal Furia is the director of the much-anticipated follow-up. Gashmeer Mahajani, Saurabh Goyal, Pallavi Ajay, Kuldeep Sareen, and Hardika Sharma will all play significant parts in the movie in addition to the protagonist.

With a gripping narrative of a mother’s struggle against paranormal forces and social ills, the sequel to the remarkable success of “Chhorii,” which wowed audiences with its spine-chilling plot and deeply ingrained folklore, promises to push the limits of supernatural horror, dread, and suspense.

In light of the previous installment’s popularity, Prime Video India’s director of content licensing said that the sequel seeks to further the film’s artistic goal.

“With Chhorii, we presented a narrative to viewers that was both emotionally stirring and very captivating. By fusing dread with mythology in a novel and genuine manner, the movie perfectly resonated with horror moviegoers. We are expanding on that creative vision with Chhorii 2, creating a darker, more dramatic, and more intricate sequel to the critically acclaimed series,” said Manish Menghani, Director of Content Licensing at Prime Video India, in a press release.

T-Series, Abundantia Entertainment, Psych, and Tamarisk Lane Production are the production companies behind the movie. In a press release from the producers, Vikram Malhotra, CEO of Abundantia Entertainment, explained the motivation for the creation of Chhorii 2.

“We were inspired to extend this world with Chhorii 2, where the horror increases and the struggle for existence becomes even more perilous and intimate, by the tremendous love and enthusiasm for the first movie. Fans are eager to watch the second installment of this captivating story, which will include Vishal at the helm once again, Nushrratt reprising his role as Sakshi, and Soha joining the ensemble in a never-before-seen form. Vishal Furia directed the first movie, which came out in 2021.
