Nishikant Dubey calls Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren’s constituency the “biggest hub of corruption.”

Godda: On Monday, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey called Godda, the seat of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the “biggest centre of corruption,” claiming that the region’s land and forest resources had been plundered via illicit transactions.

Dubey further claimed that the Chief Minister’s office is working with local mafias and has ties to foreign corporations.

“Godda is the biggest center of corruption of the current government,” Dubey told reporters. Hemant Soren is an MLA from Godda and the leader of the Jharkhand government.

“There is no need to tell about Godda, how they looted the forest and land, how they sent chips to Bangladesh in connivance with the stone mafia,” the BJP leader said, referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to the area. The formation of a Dubai firm that isn’t even listed in the income tax and doesn’t even have RBI approval… For them, corruption is a major problem.

Dubey said, “We will also come to see what kind of a Chief Minister he is who is not able to provide drinking water to the people of his area.”

In the meantime, Soren’s administration came under fire from Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who said that it permitted unlawful land transactions to foreigners. “The illegal immigrants are taking up the jobs meant for tribals of the state,” Shah remarked during a protest in Tamar. Our girls, our resources, and our land are at risk from the infiltrators. Even if an immigrant marries a tribal girl, we will enact legislation when we take power that will forbid him from registering tribal territory in his name. The immigrant will be forced to return the land they have taken.

Shah also said that “Bangladeshi infiltrators” are entering Jharkhand under Soren’s rule, accusing the chief minister of vote-bank tactics. He promised people that the BJP will eliminate all of these infiltrators, saying, “Believe us, we (the BJP) follow through on our commitments. We will identify all of the infiltrators who have entered Jharkhand, I swear to you now.”

In addition, the Union Home Minister drew attention to recent political unrest inside the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), namely the dismissal of senior party leader Champai Soren. Shah said that this dismissal demonstrated a lack of regard for the tribal communities in Jharkhand. “Champai Soren has been devoted for a long time, but the way he was degraded and taken away is an insult to the whole tribe, not just to him. Shah said that the JMM was unwilling to put an end to corruption, despite Champai Soren’s declaration that it should.

The statements coincide with the upcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand, which are set for November 13 and 20. The results will be revealed on November 23. The BJP took 25 seats, the Congress took 16, and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha took 30 seats in the last elections.
